Projectiles!


Parabolas are related to projectiles. As you might have noticed, when an item is launched into the air it forms a parabola! The relationship between time and the height of the projectile is also a parabola when graphed. What other observations and example of projectiles can you find? Post them here.

When a sniper fires a round, they must take into account the quadratics formula, optomised for projectiles, to hit a target at a long distance. The best snipers have the equation memorized, while also taking into account other variables such as wind.
